Recentelijk zijn pianocomposities ontdekt in het Joods historisch museum van de pianist/componist Mischa Hillesum (1920-1943). Mischa, broer van schrijfster Etty Hillesum, was een begenadigd, veelbelovend pianist en in 1943 met zijn hele familie omgekomen. De hervonden preludes zijn van grote historische waarde en geschreven in de traditie van de grote, virtuoze pianocomponisten als Liszt, Rachmaninov en Chopin.
