Several earlier editions from the 19th and 20th centuries were consulted for its preparation. The main music text is beautifully engraved with a clear and uncluttered presentation of the Etudes. This edition contains a useful section on 'Playing the Etudes' with over 50 music examples, showing alternative fingerings etc. A detailed Critical Commentary as well as historical archive material completes this new version of our highly popular 1985 edition.
