For his Méthode, published in 1827, the Dutch flautist Louis Drouet composed twenty-four studies. Although written for the old-system flute, these studies have never fallen into disuse, thanks to their intelligent and methodical approach. Instead of the final etude, which many flute teachers ignore, this edition offers an alternative with the modulation study on the well-known song The Bluebells of Scotland.

Voor zijn in 1827 verschenen Méthode schreef de Nederlandse fluitist Louis Drouet een vierentwintigtal etudes. Hoewel geschreven voor de oud-systeem-fluit zijn deze etudes door de intelligente en methodische schrijfwijze sedertdien nooit uit de belangstelling geraakt. In plaats van de slotetude, die door veel fluitleraren wordt genegeerd, is in deze band als alternatief de modulatie-studie op het bekende liedje The Blue Bells of Scotland opgenomen.
