Violin-Partita BWV 1004 von Johann Sebastian Bach ist das Ergebnis von vielen Jahren Forschung in Stil und Interpretation, sowohl als Interpret und als Lehrer. Für meine Transkription hielt ich mich immer an Bachs originalen Notentext, während ich die Ausgabe so gut wie möglich für das Zupfinstrument praktikabel gemacht habe. Ich habe versucht, an die emotionale Sprache und Klangfarbe der Barocklaute, die Königin der Instrumente zu Bachs Zeiten, zu erinnern.“ Paolo Pegoraro.
