Product description

esboço de pavana, for cello, was originally written for flute in 2008, as a private gift, and employs only natural harmonics. It is Rafael Nassif’s first composition in pure / just intonation, a feature quite present in his most recent works. The debut of the esboço de pavana took place in Stuttgart, Germany, by cellist and composer Christian Pfeiffer. The first public performance in Brazil took place in 2010 in the concert ‘Silent Music’ of the Festival Eu Gostaria de Ouvir, by the multi-instrumentalist Felipe José. Later, Cláudio Urgel recorded his own interpretation in the CD Violoncelo Ontem e Hoje – Mostra de Música Brasileira.
