Product description

This edition contains the only complete version of Liszt’s Two Marches in the Hungarian Style - noble pieces of great spirit. The other works in the volume come from the visionary old Liszt: elegiac pieces, folk-song arrangements, a Bartókian Csárdás and a truly bizarre nocturne describing the torment of insomnia and its resolution. The volume was first published in the 1950s, but now is reissued with a number of exciting additions from original Liszt manuscripts. The whole volume has been scrupulously revised with reference to be best manuscript and published sources to produce an accurate Urtext. 74 pages.
