'Verso Parsifal' treats two elements, which build two poles as concerns expression and duration: it starts with a short Spanish ornament, which gradually mixes with indications from the third act of Wagner's Parsifal and finally enlarges to a wider content. The Wagner quote never shows up literally, but it influences the hybrid atmosphere. The components of the piece unfold after the principle of a developing variation in a wide bow, which becomes structurally more complex as the counterpoint grows. The Coda leads back to the beginning in a backward and free way. Moderate/Difficult.
