With his Vesper Voluntaries, Edward Elgar composed a wealth of organ pieces for performance in church services and concerts. The wonderful miniatures, composed in song form, two to three minutes in length, can be performed individually or as a complete cycle. They are of moderate difficulty and for manuals; there is also an optional pedal part. This Urtext edition is based on the first printed edition edited by Elgar himself, which has been carefully checked through. Useful suggestions on performance in the foreword complete the new edition. 24 pages.

Mit seinen Vesper Voluntaries hinterließ Edward Elgar eine Kostbarkeit für das freie Orgelspiel in Gottesdienst und Konzert. Die wunderbaren, in Liedform komponierten Miniaturen von zwei bis drei Minuten Länge können einzeln oder als kompletter Zyklus aufgeführt werden. Sie sind von gemäßigtem Schwierigkeitsgrad und manualiter, optional aber auch mit Pedal spielbar. Die vorliegende Urtextausgabe basiert auf dem von Elgar selbst redigierten Erstdruck, der einer sorgfältigen Durchsicht unterzogen wurde. Nützliche Hinweise zur Ausführung im Vorwort runden diese Neuausgabe ab.
