The present Sonata / à 3 / Violino 1. / Violino 2 do / et / Basso. / del Signore / Telemann, so reads the title page of the manuscript source, kept in the Hessische Landes- und Hochschulbibliothek in Darmstadt under shelfmark Mus. ms. 1042/16 (Score and parts) is an attempt by Amadeus to publish gradually, in uniform new editions, the Trios by Telemann, of which only a small part has survived in collective prints of the time. The undated contemporary copies of the score and parts were practically faultless and it was no problem rendering them into modern type. The realization of the Cembalo part has, as usual, been purposely kept simple.
