Herttrich, who for many years has been the Editorial Director of the New Beethoven Complete Edition, as well as Director of the publishing company Beethoven Haus Bonn, is thoroughly familiar with the idiosyncrasies of Beethoven's handwriting and the enormous challenges presented by the editing of his works. As a result, a new edition of the Missa solemnis based on the latest musicological research is now available.
