Cool & Easy bevat 13 duetten bedoeld voor homogeen en heterogeen samenspel voor de diverse C- Bes- en Es-instrumenten. De twee partijen kunnen vrij worden gecombineerd. Zo kun je b.v als fluitist(e) samenspelen met een klarinettist(e) of trompettist(e), of kun je als klarinettist(e) samenspelen met een saxofonist(e), etc, etc. (de spelers moeten uiteraard uit hun eigen C-, Bes of Es-partij spelen). Deze duetten, samen me de meespeel-CD, zorgen voor een optimale samenspelontwikkeling. Elk nummer heeft drie tracks op de CD: eerst hoor je de 2e partij zodat je de 1e partij kunt meespelen, dan hoor je de 1e partij zodat je de 2e partij kunt meespelen en bij de 3e track hoor je alleen het orkest zodat je de duetten ook nog eens samen kunt spelen met een begeleidingstrack. (zie ook de tabel). Tevens zijn er van elk stukje ook pianobegeleidingen me akkoordsymbolen beschikbaar, zodat je ook met een pianist of een gitarist kunt samenspelen. Je zul veel verschillende lichte muziek tegenkomen, pop blues, jazz, latin, dance tot zelfs flamenco. Overigens kun je de 1e partij ook prima als soli meespelen met de CD, en is er ruimte voor improvisatie.
Cool & Easy contains 13 duets for C, B-flat and E-flat instruments in various combinations. For instance, a flutist can play with a clarinettist or a trumpeter, or a clarinettist with a saxophonist, etc., etc. (The players do of course have to play their own C, B-flat or E-flat parts). Supported by the play-along CD, Cool & Easy is the perfect aid for developing duet technique. Each number has three tracks on the CD: listen to the 2nd part first before joining in with the 1st, then listen to the 1st part and play along with the 2nd. Track 3 is for orchestra alone, so that you can play the duets with an orchestral accompaniment (see the table). Also available for each piece is a piano accompaniment with chord symbols, so that you can play along with a piano or a guitar. You will find a wide range of light music pieces: pop, blues, jazz, latin, dance and even flamenco. What is more, yo can play the 1st part as a soloist, accompanied by the CD, and there's plenty of scope for improvisation too.
