A-theme ‘Playful’ 2 measures in Bb major, 2 in A major, 2 in Bb major. Accompaniment in a 2 bar pattern: 3+3+3+3+2+2, Measure 39 brings a short theme for Bass Clarinet. Acc: 3+3+2+3+3+2. Ritenuto at the end of the A-theme, followed by an anticipation of the B-theme. Modulation to the key of G major. - B Adagio The melodic B-theme in a melancholic mood.
