The Dolly Suite, composed by GABRIEL FAURE between 1893 and 1896 for four-hand piano, consists of six small pieces that musically describe the birthday and other important events in the life of the composer's daughter.
In 1906, an orchestral version edited by Henri Rabaud appeared, the Berceuse was arranged as the best known piece over the years for numerous instruments. With this edition, CHRISTOPH ENZEL presents the complete work in an arrangement for piano and alto saxophone.
Of course, the individual movements have different difficulty levels, but the composition is overall playable and well suited for teaching and studying.
